Power Steering services include:

  • Fitting of new or exchange rebuilt power steering units
  • Power Rack and Pinions
  • Power Steering boxes
  • Hydraulic pumps
  • Pressure hoses and lines

For many customers the power steering unit has never been serviced in the life of their vehicle. We:

  • Pressure flush old contaminated fluid from the power steering hydraulic system
  • Supply and fit a power steering filter
  • Re-fill the system with new fluid and bleed air from the hydraulic system
  • Check the hydraulic system for fluid leaks, and,
  • Check the condition of the drive belt and adjust (if necessary)

A proper wheel alignment - not just the usual toe check after fitting a new set of tyres - is the next step to optimising the handling of the standard car. The 'correct' alignment specs depend very much on your given application - city driving has different alignment requirements to someone that regularly sits on 200 km/h (in the Northern Territory, of course).

You should have a wheel alignment performed on your car every 10,000 kms or 6 months. In doing this service, we:

  • check steering for looseness
  • check tyre pressures
  • check castor, camber and toe in/out settings, and adjust where necessary
  • road test your vehicle

To maximise your vehicle's tyre life and vehicle handling we recommend a wheel balancing. We can provide this service for all vehicles, from small compacts to 4WD.
